The Lakefront (Lake Michigan) is undoubtedly Chicago's largest accessible body of water. The lake has the largest freshwater ecosystem of any locations observed throughout the duration of this project.

The Diversey Harbor is a small harbor just east of the Nature Museum, the harbor features semi-clear water with a large population of geese and the occasional crab.
