Our Goal and Hypothesis
Our project aimed to find a correlation between the quality of water and the level of bacteria in the water. How do the level of nutrients in the water, the temperature, or the turbidity (clarity) of the water affect the level of bacteria?
The bodies of water with a higher concentration of dissolved nutrients and more turbid water will have a higher concentration of bacteria. We believed this because higher concentrations of these nutrients and dirtier water are typically signs of poor water quality.
